Falls Prevention Gait Assessment

This assessment is recommended for patients who are prone to falls, a major cause of morbidity within the UK. Hip fractures alone are estimated to cost the NHS 1 billion per year ! 

Various gait tests are undertaken including Vicon 3d and postural sway testing, an excellent way of assessing postural stability.    Treatments vary and include tailored rehabilitation programmes, medical appliances if required (not covered by private insurance).  Where pain is present, the Centre would consider its vast array of treatment options, including surgery to decide on the best approach.
